About Tyrell Gephardt

Tyrell Gephardt (or Ty as most people call him) was born into a creative life. He was surrounded by fantasy and science fiction all the time. His parents both worked in creative fields either directly or helping others with their artistic pursuits.

He would routinely take his friends on imaginary adventures in the backyard when he was young. Later, he worked at Renaissance festivals and helped run science fiction conventions.

He also has an endless thirst for stories. That led him to complete a creative writing degree from the University of Missouri after he finished an AA in liberal arts from Johnson County Community College.

Since then, Tyrell has edited and provided guidance on everything from short stories to novels. He has a keen eye for the requirements and benchmarks of a good story and can often point out angles others miss. He has spent the last several years observing marketing trends and techniques that work (or don’t) for creative independent entrepreneurs.

More to come from Tyrell Gephardt

We first introduced Tyrell in a blog post, Changes at Weird Sisters Publishing. Ty’s first public-facing projects for Weird Sisters Publishing build on his marketing observations with a blog post series on publishing trend predictions.

So far, this is the best we can do for a photo of him. He’s an excellent photographer, which means he’s usually the man behind the camera.

This square photo is a selfie of Ty while shopping. He's a white man wearing a grey shirt, a backpack, over the ear headphones, and tan pants. He's got his brown hair pulled back into a ponytail. He's backdropped by shelves of popcorn in a grocery store.
Ty took this selfie on a shopping trip. One of his “support functions” when we travel is to be our quartermaster. And he’s extremely good at it!
